My journey…

Ayurveda is a deeply wise, practical and empowering natural science and roadmap for life. I was struck by this the first time I looked it up. My introduction to this timeless healing and health care system began with an ayurvedic consultation to prepare for conception. A conventional medical doctor had told me I was infertile! However, I have always believed in the body’s incredible ability to heal and re-balance so my instinct was this was a temporary prognosis. Still, I was unsure of what I could do.

Some years later, I started following some practical recommendations from an ayurvedic physician in India that suggested by a friend. I made changes to my diet and lifestyle and took a herbal formulation three times a day. A few months later I conceived at 39 years old, and have had the exquisite joy of free birthing two healthy boys.

Finding Ayurveda has been like discovering a complete DIY health-care toolkit and manual for living, complete with a wise philosophical and spiritual foundation.

Ayurveda not only gives timeless and detailed guidance on healing and rejuvenation for the physical body but also for the mind and spirit. I knew I’d found my thing! I couldn’t wait so I began my studies when pregnant with my first child.

My passion for Ayurveda took off in my kitchen more than anything, with a desire to apply this wisdom and alchemy to everyday ailments and to enhance the ‘medicinal’ value of what we ate as a family. It became clear to me that these practices were a boost to our health and are more relevant in out modern day world than ever before.

I love developing my understanding of how the food we eat and how we go about our daily lives, influences our body and mind, and ultimately our vitality and inner harmony.

Sharing this timeless knowledge to help people connect with their own body and mind, their inner wisdom and healing strength, nature’s cycles and be empowered to realise vibrant health is nothing short of a privilege and joy. Through this opportunity to tune into one’s nature again and apply these simple self-care practices, I hope to support and empower people to experience greater balance, resilience and sweetness in life.

I am a certified Ayurvedic practitioner, graduating from the Australasian Institute of Ayurvedic Studies in 2018, with an Advanced Diploma in Ayurvedic Medicine with Dr. Ajit Singh, one of Australasia’s leading physicians and educators in Ayurveda.
