NOTES
Unhomogenised dairy milk, particularly when boiled, is easier to digest and nourishes all the body’s tissues.
If taking this tonic with honey, wait until it has cooled a little (so it’s not too hot for your finger) then add the honey. If honey is cooked, you miss out on all the nutrients from raw honey and it also becomes congesting/mildly toxic in the gut.
Cardamom is a great digestive aid and neutralises the mucous-forming properties of milk.
Pasteurised or cooked honey is considered toxic from an ayurvedic perspective. If honey is cooked, you miss out on all the nutrients from raw honey and it also becomes sticky, congesting and mildly toxic in the gut. So if having this drink with honey, wait until it has cooled a little so it’s not too hot for your finger, then add the honey.
