Ayurvedic Chai Biscuits

  • Tri-doshic - Suitable for Vata, Pitta & Kapha

  • Makes approximately 10 biscuits

Ingredients

½ cup Plain organic flour

¼ cup Semolina

¼ cup Buckwheat flour (Kapha balancing)

½ cup Jaggery packed well, or raw sugar/ coconut sugar

½ tsp Cardamom powder

½ tsp Cinnamon powder

½ tsp Ginger powder

4 Tab Ghee

2 Tab Almond meal (blitz some almonds)

1 Tab Sunflower seeds ground (or add more almond meal)

¼ cup Milk unhomogenised, organic, or nut milk

Directions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

  2. Combine all ingredients into a bowl and add milk as required to achieve required consistency to roll balls in the palm of your hand.

  3. Roll biscuit batter into balls in your hand and place on a baking tray. Flatten each biscuit with the back of a fork.

  4. Place in the oven and cook for 20 minutes.

  5. Cool on a tray and enjoy with chai tea.
